We still have a year to the wedding and I'm already annoyed by vendors.
Annoyance #1: Woman's Club guy
The guy in charge of basically everything at the venue is being a bit of a thorn in my side. I have to deal with him thought b/c he's giving us a killer deal but that doesn't mean I can't be frustrated, right? I talked to him a month ago and I had to call him last week again to see where my contract was. I talked to him finally and gave him my address again. Hello, does he want my money or what? He said he sent the packet on Monday which means I should have it by now and should have it signed and ready to mail back tomorrow, not so much. I'm still waiting for it. It's not that big of a deal but I don't want this to happen everytime I need to speak to him, it took me three voicemails and an email to finally talk to him.
Annoyance #2: Photographer
I found a photographer back in May that would do our wedding for $500 for 5 hours, where can I find that? I saw her work online and it was good so I was excited to find her. Since I was in deposit mode last week with the DJ, and caterer so I called her a few times and then emailed her. Keep in mind she quoted me a price and we were pretty much set on her being our photographer. She had the date set, we were going to talk more later, blah blah blah. This is what she writes back.
Hey Natalie -
I've been out of town - sorry for not getting back to you. As of now,
I'm not sure if I'll be in California or NY by next year - so I cannot
make any commitments as of now. Best of luck to you!
Best regards,
Danielle
Say what? She never mentioned anything about not knowing where she was going to be next year, but if you have a possible client you let them in on those types of plans. I know things change but don't leave me hanging. She acted like we never discussed all the plans. So, does anyone know of a great photographer with a soft spot for a couple with a small wedding budget?

29 Years!
I began my last year of my twenties on Saturday, which is kind of depressing, but at least I still look young. We celebrated my birthday in Estes Park, CO riding horses. This was my second time riding a horse and Robert's first. My horse liked to veer to the left the whole time and try to do her own thing so I had to constantly steer her to the right. Her name was Dilly.
Robert's horse was named Remington and he was just itching to run, I heard Robert say "Whoah" a lot especially when our guide got our horses to trot. Apparently Robert is a natural on a horse which led him to sing "Should've been a cowboy" a lot.
We only took an hour ride because I know what riding longer can do to your backside and ours hurt anyway from only an hour. We were in pain the rest of the day and the next day too for a bit. It was worth it though, the guide took us into a meadow and into the forest. I'm glad we live in such a beautiful place. After the ride we deserved a drink so we we went to the restaurant next to the stables and he had a beer and I had a birthday chocolatini. Sarah, is that right? Thanks again to everyone who wished me a happy birthday!

Going Back to Cali-Day4
On Sunday I spent the whole day in Oceanside with my best friend Tiffany. We ate at Mimi's because the Marie Calendar's brunch buffet grossed us out too much. From Mimi's we went to see Prince Caspian hich made me very excited. As we waited for the movie to start in the lobby this theater employee passed us twice and both times said hi to Tiffany. It was pretty funny, especially the second time when he said, "Hi, Lady" to her as he passed. She insists he said ladies but I know he had a little crush on her. Then we watched the movie in the theater where the A/C must have been at 60 degrees. It was ridiculously cold. After the movie we went to Target and cruised the dollar bins, which are awesome by the way! From there we finally went back to her apartment and then left again to return my rental car in San Diego since only the airport Enterprises are open on Sunday. That night, after I'd been spoiled all day by her buying breakfast and my Target goodies, her and her husband took me to Joe's Crab Shack. It was so yummy and right by the ocean I haven't seen in 10 months. Is it weird that I missed that fishy smell in the harbor? After dinner we all went to bed because my flight left at 6:40 the next morning. Going to bed early to get more sleep was a waste since I woke up at 1:30 and was pretty much awake until I had to get up and shower at 4. You always get the worst sleep when you need it most. We thought we had enough time to get me to the airport to board my plane but everyone and their mom was there trying to get through security. I got their at 5:45 and was flipping out a bit, worrying if I was going to make it through to get to my plane. I took me about 45 minutes to get through security where the lady saw my tweezers and nail clippers and thought it was a stun gun. Seriously, I had to move to the side for her to search my purse. But luckily I made it in enough time to line up to board. Thank you, God! My flight was fine except for the poor guy who was flying for the first time sitting two seats away from me and vomiting almost the whole 2 hours of the flight. This made me queasy for almost 2 hours of the flight as well. I felt bad for him, at least he had his girlfriend with him. I was so excited to see Robert again, I know it was only 4 days but we hadn't been apart in a long time. After we got home I took a million naps from not sleeping the night before. It's good to be home. I'm so happy I got to see the people I saw, I'm sorry I couldn't see everyone though.

Going back to Cali-Day 3
On the third day of my trip back home I had a great day! I said goodbye to mom and dad and headed to Lori's baby shower and got to see a lot of my friends I haven't seen since I moved.

I had fun catching up with old friends and talking about babies, weddings, and life in general. We played the typical shower games that included making a story using candy bars, my group's candy story was very odd to say the least, thanks Lindsay!

I had to leave in the middle of presents to go to my next destination, the reason from my trip. My friend Jessica married Mr. Ian Boles. She looked beautiful and the church they got married in was equally beautiful. Unfortunately I didn't really know anyone besides the bride and groom so I ended up sitting with this couple in their 50's at our own 8 person table. They were both teachers so the teacher talk dominated the conversation. Here are some pics from the reception.

On a sidenote, here's a funny/gross story from my drive from the wedding to the reception. I had to get gas so I went and after decided I should use the bathroom before I tart driving again. I hate gas station bathrooms, for obvious reasons, but it was an emergency. So I went up the door and wiggled it and discovered it was locked with one wiggle. That didn't stop the lady(?) inside from yelling at me that it was occupied. Five minutes later, who knows how long she was in there before I dared to wiggled the handle, she came out and I wish I came equipped with a match or air freshener. I was disgusting but I really had to go.
So after the wedding I headed to my last destination, Oceanside to see my best friend Tiffany. I was so tired by this point. After I got lost, because she gave me the wrong exit, I got to her apartment and chowed on Del Taco. The closest one is about an hour away. I love Del Taco, but not that much. Then I went to bed for a long awaited sleep.
